Talked with Mom - wanted to see if she was okay with making our own laundry soap. Got a couple of recipies off the net to try. We both think that it would be great if we can save money making our own, provided it really does the job. Now to find a bar of soap we both like...
Although I don't live with Mom, I do my laundry at her house - she says it is a bribe so that will come hang out with her and help get a few things done around the house. Well...it works, even though I would do that for her anyway. We have a good time and both get things done that need doing. That is usually our errand (shopping) day too.
The other was the solar food dryer I would like to make - no room for that sort of thing at my place. She was just fine with it but reminded me it would have to be high enough off the ground that the medium large dogs couldn't make thier own....shall we say contributions. LOL Then we discussed if we would move it or just make a cover for the rare times it rains here. Hmmm..... I'm still looking at plans, but adding wheels would add cost, so a tarp seems the most frugal plan. This is going to be a fun year! We are both looking for ways to save!
